If there is no Nation, what can any Government govern?
This is the most fundamental question of statehood, and it precedes politics, elections, constitutions, and even leadership. Government is an instrument; Nationhood is the Soul. Where the Soul is absent, no instrument – however sophisticated – can produce Order, Stability, or Greatness.
A NATION IS NOT AN ACCIDENT OF HISTORY
A Nation is not a geographical coincidence, not a colonial cartography, not a flag, not an anthem, and not merely a population living within artificial borders.
A Nation is a Creation of Purpose,
Established by Eternal Principles,
and Driven by Lofty Ideals.
History testifies to this Eternal Truth:
Great and unified nations do not happen by accident.
They are never the result of happenstance.
They are the product of Conscious Statecraft and Deliberate Collective Awakening.
This is not a political opinion.
It is a Law of Nature!
WHY NATIONHOOD IS MORE CRUCIAL THAN THE NEXT ELECTION
Elections determine who governs.
Nationhood determines whether governance is even possible.
An election without nationhood is merely a ritual of rotation, not a pathway to transformation. It changes faces, parties, and slogans – but leaves the underlying fragmentation untouched.
Nationhood is the Spirit of the People.
It is their Collective Consciousness,
their Shared Aspiration,
their Inner Agreement on why they Exist Together.
Without this inner Covenant:
Institutions Collapse.
Laws lose Moral Authority.
Diversity Mutates into Division.
Politics Becomes Warfare.
Power Becomes Predation.
NATIONHOOD AS THE MOST POWERFUL INTANGIBLE FORCE
Nationhood is the most intangible yet most powerful Covenant that binds people together.
It is not enforced by police.
It is not sustained by coercion.
It cannot be manufactured by propaganda.
It exists in the Inner Alignment of a People.
Nationhood dissolves duality –
the destructive “us versus them” mentality –
and replaces it with Energetic Harmony, where Diversity Becomes Strength rather than a fault line.
It is the Mysterious Force that:
Harnesses the Mass Energy of a People
Converts scattered efforts into Collective Action
Transforms Population into Purpose
When Nationhood is in place, disintegration becomes unnatural.
When Nationhood is absent, unity becomes impossible, no matter how many policies are drafted.
THE NIGERIAN EXPERIENCE: THE UNRESOLVED QUESTION OF NATIONHOOD
From:
the legacies of colonial rule,
to independence,
to the present moment,
the driving element beneath Nigeria’s recurring crises is not merely corruption, leadership failure, or weak institutions.
It is the Unfinished Business of Nationhood.
Colonialism gave us a country.
Independence gave us sovereignty.
But Nationhood was never handed over, because it cannot be given.
INDEPENDENCE CAN BE GIVEN – A NATION MUST BE EARNED
Independence can be negotiated.
A flag can be raised.
An anthem can be composed.
But a Nation is earned from Within!
It emerges when a people:
agree on shared Values,
embrace a Common Destiny,
subordinate narrow identities to a Higher Collective Purpose,
and Consciously Choose “WE” over “me.”
No external power can do this for us.
No constitution can substitute for it.
No election can replace it.
NATIONS ARE CREATED, NOT WISHED INTO EXISTENCE
This is an Established Universal Truth:
Nations are Created.
They are Consciously Imagined, deliberately forged, and patiently cultivated. If we the people of Nigeria do not consciously come together to create one, we can never build one.
This principle applies to every Civilization that has endured.
It is Timeless.
It is Universal.
It is Irreversible.
THE GREATEST RESPONSIBILITY OF OUR TIME
Every generation in history is confronted with a defining mission.
They must either fulfill it or betray it.
Our founding fathers fulfilled their mission by securing political independence.
The supreme call of this present generation is Higher, Deeper, and more Demanding:
To Consciously Create a NATION out of this Country.
This is the farthest and ultimate task of our time.
It is our generational burden.
It is our sacred responsibility to the unborn.
And until this task is accomplished, every election – no matter how free or fair – will only rearrange symptoms, not cure the disease.
THE TIME IS NOW
Nationhood cannot be postponed.
It cannot be delegated.
It cannot be outsourced.
Time does not wait for nations that hesitate to define themselves.
The Call is Clear.
The Moment is Ripe.
The Responsibility is Ours.
To Consciously Create a New Nigeria of our Dream –
rooted in Purpose, anchored in Principle, and Driven by Shared Ideals.
This Task is more Crucial than the Next Election.
Because only a NATION can Sustain a Government.
And only a PEOPLE United in Spirit can Fulfill Destiny.
THE TIME IS NOW!!!
